Magnificent Model D

For half a century the Minimoog Model D has been revered as the holy grail of all synthesizers. Hailed for its fat bass, rich harmonics and ease of use, the Model D is the standard by which all other synths are judged. But they’re expensive. Hell, even the software emulations are expensive and they don’t even sound the same as the real thing. That’s why we felt it was time to give this classic synth the Makers Gonna Make sample treatment, applying the same careful sampling and thoughtful configuring that goes into Style Packs. The result is the Magnificent Model D. An instrument composed of fully playable samples that don’t just sound like the real thing. They are the real thing! Built inside of nested Ableton Live instrument racks, Magnificent Model D is as straightforward to use as the hardware itself. And while there is a quirk or two in its behavior (nothing is ever perfectly reproduced with samples) Magnificent Model D hits all the highs that make it a must have for anyone seeking the true Model D sound.
